Mix Sugars, butter, and oil, until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix until smooth. Combine flour, baking soda, and cream of tarter, and add to sugar mixture. Drop by spoonfuls on to cookie sheet. (no need to grease...so much fat :) Cook in a preheated oven at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool. Eat as is or dip or drizzle chocolate over them.
Focaccia Bread---YUMMY!

So I made Focaccia bread yesterday. Well, actually it took me two days, cause you have to let the sponge as they call it ferment overnight, and then it bakes the next day. It turned out really well. It smelled so yummy, that I had already eaten some before I remembered to take an after picture, so imagine that it is whole. You can put all kinds of things on the top. This time I just put some herbs. Next time I want to try onions and cheese.

life pretty much sucks!
Well, doesn't it just make you have warm fuzzies to know that your husband pretty much won't be home for the rest of the year. Its bad enough that he was going to be gone pretty much the first halve of the year, but now it looks like they are taking away the second halve too. BOOOOO on them.

Flower Quilt

This quilt started out because I bought some scraps off of a lady on Etsy. I got a bag full of stuff, and one of the things in it was one of these flowers that was already made, and then a bunch of the hexagons already cut out, as well as the template for it. So I was inspired. I started putting flowers together, and I am going to make a quilt for Alyssa's bed. I am hand piecing them together and I am loving it. :)
Alyssa's Dress

Okay well this is just the first one that I made. I have two other prints of the same kind of material. I love this stuff. I bought it at walmart, and it already had the smocking done...all I did was hem and add ribbons. Sooooo Easy!!! I bough enough to make two of each print. I am hoping that I can sell the extras and pay for the three that Alyssa gets!

Where have I been?
So I want to apologize that I haven't posted anything in a while. Things have been so hectic that its down right crazy. But I am begining to feel like I am getting into a routine now. Bennett's been gone for a little over two months. :( I actually have a couple of projects going that I want to post soon. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance to take pictures. Anyways, I didn't want everyone to think that I droped off the face of the earth. Take care.
